Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Monday said that ₹569 crore has been credited to the bank accounts of 4,41,911 landholding farmers in 577 villages across 563 mandals in 32 districts. The assistance, provided under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, covers an area of 9,48,333 acres as investment support.

He stated that the scheme was launched by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday and the funds released on Sunday were credited to the bank accounts of farmers on Monday. The farmers would be given ₹6,000 per acre of land under cultivation and it was released to one revenue village each in every mandal to begin with.

The Minister said the number of villages would be higher compared to mandals as the funds would be released revenue village wise and some of the revenue villages would have more than one village. As promised prior to the elections, the Rythu Bharosa scheme was launched and it would be extended to every eligible landholding farmer in due course.

Giving the district-wise details, the minister said ₹14.49 crore was credited to the bank accounts of 6,411 farmers in 21 villages of 17 mandals in Adilabad district.
