Child abducted at Chennai Central railway station rescued in Andhra Pradesh

Government Railway Police has rescued a six- year old child in Andhra Pradesh after he went missing from the Central Railway Station 14 days ago. They also arrested a woman who allegedly abducted the child.

Police said Shshitha Begam of Assam, along with her sons aged six and three, came to Chennai for a job with a wholesale vegetable vendor. Leaving her children at the Central Railway Station, she left to meet her employer. On her return, she found that her six-year-old son had gone missing and lodged a complaint with the police.

After scrutiny of CCTV footage, a police team arrested Saraswathi of Guntur district and rescued the child.
