Belagavi-Dharwad new railway line gets ₹8.51 crore

Union Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna has said that railway projects in Karnataka have been allotted ₹7,564 crore.

This includes ₹8.51 crore for the Belagavi-Kittur-Dharwad railway line project. The sanctioned cost is ₹602.4 crore. According to the Minister, this is an increase over last year’s allocation.

The other projects that will get funding are the railway lines between Gadag and Wadi, Tumakuru-Chitradurga-Davangere, Rayadurga-Tumakuru via Kalyanadurga, Bagalkot-Kudachi, Shivamogga-Shikaripura-Ranebennur, Hubballi-Ankola, doubling of railway lines between Hosapete and Vasco-da-Gama via Hubballi and Pune-Miraj-Londa.
