Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) has welcomed the Union Budget 2025-26 presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman saying that the Budget contains multiple provisions aimed at improving the lives of working people of the country.
BMS general secretary Ravindra Himte, in a statement issued on Saturday, said the BMS has been advocating for an increase in the income tax limit and appreciated the Centre for taking its suggestion into account. “The Budget is forward-looking and is designed to enhance opportunities for both job creation and self-enterprise,’‘ he said.
Mr Ravindra welcomed the support for Pisciculture, employment in leather industry, MSMEs, agriculture, gig and platform workers, and promotion of start-ups. The BMS said the Centre should address the issue of unorganised sector boards like beedi and plantation and these sectors should be provided with adequate budget.
