Cottages, watchtower suggested to develop Singur Project as tourist destination

Telangana Health Minister and Andole MLA C. Damodar Raja Narasimha issued directions on developing Singur project in Sangareddy as a tourist project. Provision of cottages, developing roads and other infrastructure to attract tourists from other States too were suggested.

Mr. Narasimha visited the project along with officials from Tourism, Irrigation department and other departments on Monday. He directed the officials to develop the watchtower, food courts, children’s play area, landscaping in the island etc. The 29 acres alongside the project was suggested to be used for restaurant, modern cottages.

BT roads have to be laid in the upper part of the dam. Infrastructure has to be provided for tourists to scale the dam. Suggestions were given to lay cycling and walking tracks too.
