Harish Kumar Gupta, an IPS officer of the 1992 batch, who is at present Director General, Vigilance and Enforcement & Ex-Officio Principal Secretary to Govt., GA (V&E) Dept, has been given full additional charge of the post of Andhra Pradesh Director-General of Police (HoPF) until further orders in place of Ch. D. Tirumala Rao, Director-General of Police (Coordination) and DGP (HoPF), who will retire on January 31, 2025, on attaining superannuation.
Chief Secretary K Vijayanand has issued two separate orders on Wednesday for appointing a new DGP and also relieving the existing officer.
