Hassan Police shot and arrested a person wanted on charges of stopping a private bus on the highway and damaging the windshield by hitting it with a lethal weapon on Thursday (January 30, 2025) night
Manu, the accused, recently waylaid a private bus on the Bengaluru-Mangaluru highway near Hassan by stopping his car and later hit the windshield with a lethal weapon. A video clip of his act went viral on social media platforms.
Hassan City Police had registered the case. He was arrested on Thursday night. It is said that he tried to escape from the police after attacking one of them, forcing the police to open fire, and shooting at his leg.
Manu has been facing a few serious cases, including attempt to murder.
