Nagababu demands Peddireddi’s resignation for ‘betraying’ people’s trust

Jana Sena Party (JSP) general secretary K. Nagababu on Sunday asked YSRCP Punganur legislator Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy to resign for “neglecting his duty by evading the Assembly sessions.”

Addressing a public meeting at the ZP High School grounds, at Somala in Punganur constituency, Mr. Nagababu alleged that Mr. Reddy betrayed the trust of the people who voted for him.

He also demanded that all the 11 YSRCP legislators, including Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, resign for not attending the Assembly sessions.

Lashing out at Mr. Ramachandra Reddy for resorting to a “series of illegal activities, including encroachment of public and private lands, as also endowment and forest lands in Tirupati and Chittoor,” he called for swift action against the YSRCP leader.

Referring to Mr. Ramachandra Reddy’s alleged involvement in the smuggling of red sanders and illegal mining activities, Mr. Nagababu said these allegations would soon be proven.

Expressing confidence that the NDA government would bring the corrupt YSRCP leaders to book, the JSP leader, while acknowledging the delay in legal action, said justice would be served soon.

Ridiculing the YSRCP leaders’ claims on ‘jamili’ elections (simultaneous elections) and their return to power in the State, Mr. Nagababu said their political revival could not be assured, given the allegations against the party’s leadership.
