SDPI is dividing society on communal lines, says BJP

Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) is trying to divide society on the basis of religion and thereby, creating disturbances, BJP leader Nagaraj Naik said in Karwar on Sunday.

He said that some SDPI leaders had objected to the police action of shooting at a man accused of cow slaughter.

Faizan Ahmed attacked police officers and injured some of them. They shot at him. But the SDPI is trying to play politics over the incident, while accusing the police officers of communal intent. That is baseless, Mr. Naik said.
