The Srisailam temple management will be organising Surya Aradhana at the Akkamahadevi Alankara Mandapam on the temple premises on February 4 on the occasion of Ratha Saptami (Magha Shuddha Saptami).

As part of the ritual, the temple priests and Vedic pundits will perform special puja (Sankalpam) for peace and tranquility in the country, to prevent natural disasters, good amount of rains for the prosperity of the country and well-being of the people. Later, Maha Ganapati Puja will be conducted after which the Vedic pundits would perform Surya Namaskarams.

As part of the ritual, the priests will perform Surya Yantra puja, Chaturveda Parayanam, Shodasopachara Puja and Mantra Pushpam.
