Taluk development committee proposes installation of cameras to fight drug menace

A meeting of the Ambalappuzha Taluk Development Committee on Saturday called for the installation of surveillance cameras in public places and schools to prevent drug abuse and illicit trafficking. It suggested utilising the development funds of local self-government institutions and MLA funds for the purpose. Mararikulam South grama panchayat president P.P. Sangeetha presided.
