TTD Chairman conducts surprise inspection at ‘Parakamani’ and ‘Potu’

TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu embarked on a surprise inspection of the ‘Parakamani’ building and ‘Potu’ (kitchen) in Tirumala on Saturday.

Naidu, who visited the Parakamani building, inquired about the process adopted in the segregation of coins, currency notes, gold, silver, and other valuable gifts offered by devotees in the temple ‘hundi’ and scrutinised the procedure followed to verify the personnel involved in the counting process. He also took stock of the CCTV surveillance system installed in the building.

Later, at theladdu potu’, he examined the process involved in the production of laddus with regard to the making of ‘boondi’, usage of ghee, mixing of flour and others. He also inquired about the functioning of the conveyor belt system used to transport raw materials to the temple. Interacting with the staff, he emphasised on the need for the maintenance of hygiene and dedication while discharging their duties.

He instructed the officials to initiate required precautions to prevent accidents and randomly verified the weight of the laddus at the laddu disbursing counters.
