Two persons died after the two-wheeler they were riding was hit by a car on B.H. Road near Muddanahalli in Arsikere taluk on Saturday night.
The deceased were identified as Gangadhar Naik, 55, of Murundi B. Tandya and his daughter-in-law Priya, 22.
The incident occurred when they were returning to their native place around 9.30 p.m. from Lakshmi Devarahalli. A car hit them from behind, and both sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot.
Gangadhara Naik’s son, Raghu Naik, lodged a complaint with Arsikere Rural Police.
