Waltair Railway Division wins six Best Efficiency Shields

Waltair Division has bagged six Best Efficiency Shields for the best performance of various departments. Divisional Railway Manager Manoj Kumar Sahoo received the shields along with the branch officers at a function held in Bhubaneswar on Saturday. The Best Efficiency shields were bagged by Commercial branch, Civil Engineering Department, Security branch, Stores depot, Track Machine depot and the Medical Branch of Waltair Division along with the Central Hospital in Bhubaneswar.

Sambalpur Division was honoured with the Overall Efficiency Shield. Puri and Haridaspur stations of Khurda Road Division have been awarded with the Big Station Cleanliness Shield and Small Station Cleanliness Shield respectively.

Gracing the occasion as the chief guest, Parmeshwar Funkwal, General Manager of East Coast Railway, congratulated the railway personnel for their exceptional commitment and 24/7 efforts in fulfilling their responsibilities. He emphasised the importance of teamwork and continued dedication in achieving operational excellence.

Meanwhile, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) also celebrated the receiving of Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar-2024 on Saturday at the Railway Auditorium in Bhubaneswar, honouring the exceptional service and dedication of its employees. On the occasion, 49 Railway employees were honoured for their outstanding performance.

In recognition of their continuous dedication and hard work, 49 railway employees received the prestigious Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar-2024. This special award, handed over by Mr. Parmeshwar Funkwal, acknowledged their tireless efforts in meeting the organisation’s goals and targets. Sixteen railway officials of Waltair Division received the Visisth Rail Seva Puraskar for outstanding performance.

Kavita Funkwal, president of East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation, Mohes Kumar Behera, Additional General Manager, along with other Principal Heads of Departments and senior officials of EcoR were among those present.

B.K. Mishra, Senior Deputy General Manager, highlighted the significance of the awards, while K.K. Khadanga, Deputy General Manager, coordinated the event and delivered the vote of thanks.
