Welfare and development of the State are priorties of the NDA government, says Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav.
Mr. Keshav, along with district Collector V. Vinod Kumar, disbursed pension to the beneficiaries at their doorstep at Palturu village of Vidapanakallu mandal in Uravakonda Assembly constituency on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Keshav said the NDA government increased the social security pension benefit to ₹4,000. It had been disbursing the same on the first of every month at the doorstep of the beneficiaries, thus fulfilling its election promise, he said.
Every Minister, MP and MLA would be visiting a village and monitor the disbursement of pension, he said. “Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is also visiting a village and personally disbursing pension to the beneficiaries, which shows the sincerity of the government in fulfilling its poll promise,” Mr. Keshav added.
He said the government was extending the welfare schemes despite severe financial burden. The government would implement Talliki Vandanam and Annadata Sukhibava schemes in the days to come, he added.
Dr. Vinod Kumar said the administration was taking steps for 100% disbursal of pension under the NTR Bharosa scheme.
