BCCI confirms venues, schedule for New Zealand's white-ball tour

Baroda, Rajkot and Indore will host the three-match ODI series preceding the five T20Is

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the venues and schedule for New Zealand's tour of India in early 2026. The tour will consist of three One Day International (ODI) matches and five Twenty20 International (T20I) matches.

Baroda, Rajkot, and Indore have been selected to host the ODI series, while Nagpur, Raipur, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, and Thiruvananthapuram will be the battlegrounds for the T20I series. The announcement was made following the BCCI Apex Council Meeting held on Saturday, June 14th.

The New Zealand tour is set to commence on January 11, 2026, with the first ODI in Baroda. Rajkot will host the second ODI on January 14, followed by the third and final ODI in Indore on January 18. The T20I series will then unfold, with matches scheduled for January 21, 23, 25, 28, and 31.

BCCI Responds to RCB Victory Parade Incident

In other news, following the stampede that occurred in Bengaluru after the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's IPL 2025 victory parade, the BCCI has taken swift action. The Apex Council has decided to form a committee tasked with drafting comprehensive guidelines aimed at preventing similar incidents from happening in the future.

The committee will be headed by BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia and will also include Prabhtej Singh Bhatia and Rajeev Shukla. The committee is expected to finalize and submit the guidelines within a 15-day timeframe.
